Service Description

This in person course is the Federal non-restricted firearms safety course required to obtain a CFSC. You must receive an 80% or higher to pass. Once you have completed this course, written and practical exams, you will then be able to file the appropriate paperwork to obtain your license. The course consists of the Canadian Firearms manual, exams and hands on practice with non restricted firearms and ammunition. Please note that all firearms and ammunition is deactivated and dummied. No active firearms or live ammunition is used during this course. This course is for 18 years +. To obtain a minor’s license, you must be between the ages of 12-17 years old and have written permission from a guardian and/or parent to attend. Never bring firearms or live ammunition to any of the courses. Doing so will result in the RCMP/CPS being contacted immediately. Please bring a packed lunch as we will not have enough time to leave the building. Please read and study the CFSC manual prior to attending the course to become familiar with the material. Note that the instructional time for this course is 8 hours plus the exams. https://publications.gc.ca/collections/collection_2015/grc-rcmp/PS99-2-2-1-2014-eng.pdf
